Dear Colleagues,

PASCaTs is organizing the above satellite global forum on invitation of the AATS leadership to promote cardio-thoracic education and surgery in Africa.
It would be my great pleasure to invite you attend the PASCaTS/AATS Global Forum entitled Cardio-thoracic surgery and priority healthcare agenda in the emerging economies.
You will experience an interactive discussion on the preliminary results of the current survey on “Cardio-thoracic Surgery in Africa” which I am conducting at the German Heart Institute Berlin. The ongoing study has involved a collaboration with the PASCaTS, Dr. Francis Fynn-Thompson from the Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Morton Bolman from Peter Brigham Hospital, Boston and his public health research team in Boston, active heart centres in Africa as well as several international heart teams from USA, Germany, Portugal, Northern Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and UK who are practising in Africa. Please find details of the program and registration as attachments.

I look forward to meeting you on Saturday, May 4. 2013 at the Minneapolis Hilton Hotel.
